Gladys Ralston has been at our hospital a short time but has made quite an impression on our patients. She makes the patients and their parents feel comfortable and cared for.
Our patient was admitted to the Pediatric floor after three trips to the ED. The father wrote, "Gladys gave us just what we needed to feel comfortable. She was calm, compassionate, confident, and competent. Beyond her professional care skills, she had the ability to stop and listen to our thoughts and concerns, making us feel like a partner in our son's care. While obviously busy, she never made us feel like a bother. We felt she is one of those rare individuals who appreciate the opportunity to serve others. Gladys also recognizes that care is holistic, not purely clinical. She took the time to visit with our son treating him with respect and engaging him in conversation."
