While my sister has been in the hospital, she has had many complications. Gladys has treated her with compassion and dignity. She had to start a new IV and Gladys made my sister comfortable and reassured her during the process. On another day, Gladys started her shift and came in to see my sister. My sister had an NG tube put in the night before and when Gladys came in, she immediately was concerned about the placement of the tube. Upon review of the charts, she discovered it needed put in further. Again, my sister had anxiety and Gladys calmed her fears and adjusted the tube. Immediately the bile came flowing out making my sister so much more comfortable. Gladys always has a smile and she emits a lighthearted feeling when she is in the room. She is not here just to do a job, but to truly care for her patients. We were very blessed to have her care for my sister.
