Glen, thank you for all you do and bring to 8SE. The team loves working with you!
Glen consistently, day in and day out, no matter the situation, always puts patients' and families’ needs first. He can allay a patient's fears and concerns by merely squatting down, conversing at eye level, and using a calm, compassionate, patient, and reassuring tone. He goes well beyond the expectations on 8SE. He showcases his strengths and talents in many ways. He is a strong, quiet leader when in charge, thinking "outside the box" for solutions. He sets an example of how to work with others professionally and collegially.

Prior to his many years working in the Oncology Infusion Area, he had extensive experience and roles in caring for oncology patients. Glen has worked in roles from Home Health with AIDS patients, to nurse case manager for urology and Heme/Onc, to BMT patients in radiation oncology, and as an inpatient assistant nurse manager on a Heme/Onc BMT unit. Glen has set a very high standard in his clinical endeavors.

Additionally, he has been instrumental in the creation and ongoing management of an Excel spreadsheet that collates our historic and evolving service mix. This provides the platform for our staffing needs which has facilitated management to better meet our staffing/patient care needs. Glen, thank you for all you do and bring to 8SE. The team loves working with you!

Congratulations on your DAISY Award!
