Glenda A Jones, LPN

Glenda has been a nurse for 38 years and has worked at the Hamilton County Health Department for 28 of those 38 years. Glenda works in the Travel and Adult Immunizations Division and has received the most patient-submitted nominations. The patients consistently commented on Glenda's "kindness" during a time in the patient's life when they were concerned for their own health and the health of their loved ones. Glenda's brilliant smile when she saw them and empathetic, easy-going conversations made them feel at ease immediately. It seemed Glenda knew exactly what to say. A co-worker described Glenda as "the very meaning of the word kindness, resilience and what it means to have an outstanding work ethic every day no matter the circumstances we may be facing. She is always willing to help educate her patients and fellow staff.
