August 2016 Honoree
glenda evans, RN
It was July 4 and most of my family was out of town. I was staying with my daughter and we were getting ready to do fireworks. I told my daughter that I wasn't feeling well and was going to go and lay down. When my granddaughter got ready to come to bed, I told her to tell her mom that I didn't feel good. My daughter said to get up and walk around. When I did I was having troubles breathing because of the pain. I told my daughter that I needed to go to the hospital.
We went to the Wesley ER out West and they said that I needed to go to Wesley Hospital. When we got here I was scared didn't know what was going on. My daughter has 3 children and was trying to get them taken care of. So when I got to my room I was in a lot of pain. Glenda Evans, my nurse, was outstanding. She was so kind, caring, and went out of her way to see that I had what I needed and was great. I had never been in the hospital where I was so sick and it was great to get a caring and understanding nurse. Thanks Glenda Evans!
