The clinic room that Glenda works in is right outside of the Emergency Room. I have had many opportunities to see her advocating for her patients. She sits down and listens to their concerns and she is not satisfied until she has helped them with their concerns. Many other staff members have mentioned the same thing to me.

One day, I ended up as her patient and got the treatment I had come to expect and witness from Glenda. I had a complicated situation that she helped me with and even followed up with me the next day. She did all of this in a kind and empathetic manner. I believe she goes above and beyond just doing her job, and I would like to acknowledge that.

She is courteous and helpful and steps in to advocate for patients. More than one inpatient has verbalized acknowledgement that Glenda has got them covered and made sure all will be ok. Saying, “I trust her,” and “I am not worried.” Through multiple procedures such as paracenteses, thoracentesis, PICC lines, midlines, and Ultrasound assistance at the 11th hour, she supports nursing teams in all units. Glenda is there to shine a light on patient and co-worker needs, arranging services above and beyond, and is extraordinary!
