On a daily basis, Glenda is an incredible nurse who is wonderful at taking care of her patients, serves as a great source of knowledge for other nurses on the unit, and is a great team player. Along with what she does well every time she is at work, Glenda recently went out of her way to celebrate the birthday of one of our patients who celebrated his birthday in the hospital. This patient has been in the hospital for a little while and has felt depressed from the amount of time he has been here. She brought in decorations for his room, organized for gifts to be brought to him, and most impressively worked with the Gainesville Police Department to coordinate landing a police helicopter on the helipad in order for the patient to get a tour of the helicopter. I would like to recognize the effort Glenda put in for this patient's birthday and the effort she puts in at work every day.
