Glenda Morgan exudes our commitment to care at SIH Herrin Hospital. Glenda is passionate about her patients and their families receiving the most kind and compassionate care while under her. She takes time to involve families and make them feel welcome on our unit. She introduces herself to her patients as “Hello, I’m Glenda, like the good witch”. She leaves the room feeling lighter and safer. She is joyous. Glenda brings light and happiness to all of her coworkers. She takes time outside of work to check in on us and make sure we are ok when things aren’t so great. Multiple times in my own personal life, she has reached out to me, just to be a friend. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for meeting her. Other staff members have told me about their love of Glenda and how she is always there for them in a time and need. She even volunteered to pick up a coworker when she didn’t have a ride post-procedure. I wish the world was less hard and more Glenda. She is the definition of caring.
