I have had heart disease for 23 years and have had two bypass surgeries and several stents and other procedures. After my first bypass, I met Glenda during cardiac rehab. Glenda was an angel. She was there to encourage me and made me feel as if I was her only patient. During all of my hospital visits Glenda was there and supported me along the way.
I'm a volunteer at the hospital, Glenda would always notice that I was having trouble and would encourage me to contact my cardiologist. On one occasion I was particularly bad when Glenda saw me and insisted I call the cardiologist. I did so because of her care and I had a stent placed the next day which may have avoided a heart attack.
As I now visit heart patients on the 2nd floor I observe her providing the same wonderful care. During my 23 years of heart disease, Glenda has been there for me. I cannot tell you how valuable Glenda has been and is for St. Mary's heart program and patients. I always tell her that she does not realize how important she is to me and other heart patients. She has gone a long way to foster St. Mary's heart care program.
Glenda is an angel and daily practices St. Mary's mission.
