Glenda was professional and compassionate throughout the two shifts she cared for me. She explained that though I could have no water, she supplied me with Vaseline to coat my dry lips. She responded to my requests, gently made me aware of medications administered and took a moment to speak of topics of interest to me, never missing a beat of her rounds. She made me feel at ease with my dietary limitations and why and how I was being given my medications.
She provided an excellent transition from herself to other nurses and back to her by verbally introducing them to me. She exemplified true team spirit in the promise of Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence. I commend her for her understanding and her gentle communication skills.
