Patient had surgery and woke up very confused. She repeatedly and anxiously asked for Glenn while in PACU. The patient has no family/caregiver in AK. She stated that Glenn, her floor nurse, was the only person she knew. Glenn was notified that patient had been asking for him. After Glenn's shift was over he came into PACU to see patient as she requested. He held her hand, comforted her and reassured her about her stay and informed her of her amazing night staff that would take care of her.

Patient calmed down upon his arrival and was able to relax and rest after. This visit was very special to the patient since she felt she had no one in her personal life. Glenn's visit resulted in a positive PACU and hospital experience for the patient, and went above and beyond to reassure patient and make sure she knew she was important and cared for. Patient stated "Glenn made me feel like a person, not just a number".
