Gloria Evans consistently demonstrate all the ICARE principles (Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, Excellence) in the way she renders service to the veterans. She takes extraordinary care of her patients. She makes her patients and families feel comfortable and makes a special connection with them. It is hard to mention one instance because she constantly goes above and beyond in her duties as an RN. For example, Gloria had just transferred two of her patients and while another coworker was helping another nurse with her patient, Gloria bathed and shaved her coworker's patient instead of sitting and waiting around. The patient stated he felt like a new man. This demonstrates one of the many kind, loving, and caring acts she provides her patients and families on a daily basis. When you see a patient after Gloria has had them they seem to have a special glow and twinkle in their eyes. The love and care she gives to her patients are in a league of its own.
