Gloria came into a difficult situation initially. I was less than 72-hours post-op radical prostatectomy and was dealing with all of the attendant issues. She entered the room and maintained a calm professional, yet compassionate demeanor throughout the somewhat complex need schedule. She helped me with the personal difficulty I was having and took me all the way to discharge while simultaneously taking care of her other patients, and even making sure I had a flu shot before I left. She made sure I was clear on all of my discharge instructions and even went back to find the doctor to ensure I had a prescription that I would not have had and genuinely needed. The most impressive thing to me is that she demonstrated genuine humor that actually put a smile on my face, and that was NOT an easy thing to do that morning. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
