BSN, RN
Operating Room
Security Forces Hospital

I have known her as a responsible, dedicated, hardworking and flexible Charge Nurse of the three services namely: Neurosurgery, Maxillofacial, and Neuro-Spine. Her undeniable length of service in OR as an effective OR Nurse and at the same time as a Charge Nurse who is accountable to order all the stocks or supplies and facing each individual surgeons per services she handles in order to comply with their preferences to maintain the delivery of safe and quality health care services makes her a super efficient OR Charge Nurse.
Five months ago, Gloria was in a very difficult situation in her life. She was diagnosed with a Carotid Aneurysm. Her health deteriorated and it was indeed a very devastating experience on her part. She underwent two procedures of Carotid Stenting and Angiogram.
On her return to work, she delved in with the same passion and enthusiasm as an efficient Charge Nurse that she had shown right up until she was initially diagnosed. I admire the good spirit that she creates, a good atmosphere in the working environment even under stressful situations. Her passion for work by trying her best to do every step of the way to comply with the complexity of the three services she manages. She has been observed extending her working hours to ensure full preparedness of her assigned OR.
Ms. Gloria G. Santiago shows a real love for her work and fought a serious battle in her life, yet still remains strong; an enthusiastic OR Charge Nurse as well as a compassionate health care worker whom I look up to with so much respect. Gloria gives herself selflessly to lead us and as a role model of our department.
