My grandmother was sent to the ER on Monday with leg weakness. Gloria was her nurse for the roughly 9 hours that Granny was in the ER. While it was an extremely busy day in the ER, when Gloria came into our room, she always had a smile on her face and acted as if there was not another person that she was caring for at the same time. She was so gentle and caring with Granny, which was so very much appreciated.
Granny also has some dementia, so when she would say something that was very out of the ordinary, Gloria attentively listened to her and then would respond with so much kindness. Gloria did an outstanding job. I am so very thankful that we had her as our nurse since we were there for such an extended stay.

My father was brought to the ER. He collapsed at the State Fairgrounds while preparing to exhibit horses. He was transported by ambulance to Memorial. Gloria went above and beyond to get him comfortable. He had bypass surgery a year ago and we were fearful of a cardiac event. She was focused and knowledgeable; she educated my parents on what was happening and the course of action. She is compassionate, sincere, and has a sense of humor when appropriate. She truly provides the finest care, at a stressful time.
In the end, Dad's problems stemmed from kidney stones, a critically low Hgb, and a critically high protime. The care she provided was second to none. Gloria is a credit to her nursing profession.
