Gloria Urquiola cared for my mother who suffers with dementia. During my mother's treatment, Miss Gloria spent extra time and care keeping mom calm and relaxed. She would take extra time rubbing her forehead and speaking calmly to her. Even though her shift for the day ended, she stayed an extra 2 hours helping to calm my mom during a very combative time of biting, hitting, and kicking. She sacrificed time with her family to care for mine. In today's world, unselfish and caring people, like Miss Gloria, are greatly needed when few exist. Katy Memorial Hermann is extremely fortunate to have a nurse like Miss Gloria.
