Cookie's dedication, her drive, her fortitude, and her compassion are unmatched by anything I have ever seen and that goes for young and old alike.
Dedicated... if you look this adjective up in the dictionary it is defined as: “a person devoted to a task or purpose, having single-minded loyalty or integrity.” Dedicated is how I would describe a certain individual who works here at HonorHealth. I have never in my many years of being in the workforce seen an individual who is more dedicated to her patients, to her coworkers, and to HonorHealth. This individual always comes to work with a very infectious smile and a positive attitude. She is always there for you if you need her. She is there for you as a coworker, as a friend, and most importantly as a patient advocate. She truly loves what she does and truly loves her patients. She strives to do right by them and give them the best care she can give, even the ones that can be, shall we say, challenging. When my feet, knees, and back start hurting after 20K steps because you are in triage with a lobby of 29 people some of whom have been there for hours. Right when I think I've had enough and I can’t do anymore, this individual becomes my inspiration and motivation to press on. She becomes like a den mother to us all. She’ll cry out “come on people we can do this!” or “Let’s go folks, we got an hour left, we’re almost there!”. GLYNDORA FRAMPTON, or as we all know and love her... Cookie. Cookie is whom The DAISY Award was created for. She embodies the meaning behind The DAISY Award and what it means to be a great nurse. We could all stand to learn something from Cookie. Her dedication, her drive, her fortitude, and her compassion are unmatched by anything I have ever seen and that goes for young and old alike. Cookie just makes us better. Better employees, better coworkers, and most importantly better human beings.
