July 2020 Honoree
goda stelnionyte, RN
Goda came into my room to check my blood sugar when she observed me sleeping but that something was wrong. She checked the sugar and found that my count was 34 and as I woke up I was shaking. I knew something was wrong. She went into high gear and got me crackers and juice and PB&J and as I was eating, kept me calm and reassured that it will be ok and kept working to get my sugar up to a safe number. Although she stated she was new she responded as if she was a 20-year veteran. Knowing that she has the knowledge on how to control the fear I had and to have saved my life, I want her boss to know just how much she is worth and that she is a credit to her field of nursing and a very important employee. Being a former law officer I would be proud to have her on my team and believe GSAM should too.
Thank you, Goda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
