My mother was hospitalized with serious heart-related issues and kidney failure, and after time in the ICU, she was moved to another unit. When Grace Anne came on shift, she immediately recognized that something was not right. She noticed a fluctuation in my mother’s heartbeat and promptly ordered an EKG. She also observed that my mother was extremely lethargic, had very low blood pressure, and was not producing urine; critical signs that required urgent attention.

Grace Anne acted quickly and decisively. She contacted multiple physicians, administered necessary medications, and remained extremely hands-on throughout the entire situation. Her attentiveness, clinical judgment, and sense of urgency were unlike anything I had ever witnessed. She advocated strongly for my mother, calling in additional doctors for consultation.

Because of Grace Anne’s swift actions, it was determined that my mother needed to be transferred back to the ICU for a higher level of care. As a result, my mother received blood transfusions and medications to stabilize her blood pressure and prevent further heart damage.

My mother is not out of the woods yet, but I truly believe that, without Grace Anne’s quick thinking, dedication, and extraordinary care, my mother would not have survived.
