Grace Bane has gone above and beyond in her care for a certain toddler that doesn't have parents with her. As a Nurse, she is expected to bathe, feed and change the patient, but she has done more than that. If you know Grace, you know she always has hair products for her babies. Grace noticed a special girl's hair was matted at the back of her head and that was unacceptable. She did what she could that night, but when she got home the next day she watched YouTube on how to mange the patient's biracial hair. Instead of getting extra precious sleep, Grace decided that studying how to mange this baby's hair was more important. The next night she came armed with the appropriate shampoo, conditioner and other hair products suitable for this particular child's hair. She set aside a certain time in her busy night and got to work. From her research, Grace was able to fix and style this beautiful patient's hair. There was no reward or recognition she was seeking. She did this because this is how children should be taken care of. She saw a problem, she researched a solution, and she solved it. If I had a child in this hospital, Grace would definitely be my first choice to take care of them.
