Grace was caring for a patient who had a 2-day old infant, and she was transferred to Barnes-Jewish Hospital from 2 hours away. The father and baby were planning to leave in the morning to go to the pediatrician. Grace made some calls and got the baby a well-baby check up at St Louis Children’s which meant the father and baby remained close to the mom who was providing breast milk for her baby. It kept the family together.
