Grace came into our world at a critical point in my mother's recovery from RSV. My mom has extreme anxiety, so being here in the ICU was a challenge. Grace is a leader! She took the initiative to talk closely with docs about increasing anti-anxiety meds and watched her closely to monitor her. That day, my mother finally got enough rest to let her body begin to heal. She was truly a turning point factor in her healing process.
Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and we were told that only 2 people were allowed in ICU with her. My mother has around the clock caregivers at home, so we were at a loss with how this was going to work.
Grace went to bat for us and got all 3 approved so that we could change shifts accordingly to still have her routine just like at home. This went above and beyond the call of nursing!
She truly lives up to her name, Amazing Grace!
