Gracie has a heart like no other. I came from a tough home and felt like I was too hard to love. But Gracie saw all the good in me. She is the type of person who makes you feel safe when everything around you is scary. She makes hard situations feel easy. She is the reason that I have hope and faith that one day I will truly be healthy again. She makes sure that my needs are met and that I am happy. There are not many people that I trust, but she is definitely one of them without a doubt. I know she will make sure I am well taken care of when I am in the hospital. Little things really matter. They often are the things that change your life. She has made a big impact on my recovery and helped me keep my mindset where it is now. If anyone is deserving of this award, it is Gracie, the best nurse possible! Nurses like her make children's hospitals less scary. My heart goes out to her and all she has done to keep me healthy. She has taught me that all things are possible and that every decision I make is my own. Because of Gracie, I can see the light again.
