Gracie was taking care of Ms. E, our COVID mom who delivered a baby boy. While caring for baby boy E, I contacted Gracie to give her an update on him and his nightly weight, so she could relay the updates to the mom. Gracie told me mom was wanting to breastfeed but obviously could not, so she asked her if she wanted to pump, as her milk should be coming in. The mom was too weak to pump herself, so Gracie assisted her with pumping and brought me milk for the baby that night. She also took back some signs/baby pictures we made for her to put up in her room. Gracie went above and beyond the call of duty, not only for that mom but for her baby! I told her she was the perfect nurse for her in that moment!
