I want Gracie to know that her work does not go unnoticed, and my entire family is thankful for how she not only treated me but also how she treated them.
Gracie showed every characteristic you would hope for in a nurse during a time of need. She is personable, authentic, timely, and obedient. Had she not told me she was a year out of school, I would have thought she was a nurse for years. I had no intention of staying in the hospital, and I can honestly say she made it the best transition for me I could have asked for. She, along with the charge nurse, made sure that they were with me from the moment I was rolled to the floor.

The care I received was far from poor, and I was not aware she had so many patients to care for. She not only was attentive to my needs but also to my granny and fiancé. Yes, I was not the most pleasant person to wake up all night, however, she did it with ease and made sure she had a smile on her face whether it was genuine or routine. No matter how many times I asked the same questions or how many times she had to come to check on me, I not once felt like a burden to her. I recently graduated from RN school myself, and I can only hope to be the nurse she showed to me that day. I want Gracie to know that her work does not go unnoticed, and my entire family is thankful for how she not only treated me but also how she treated them. Do not change, Gracie! With nurses like her, there is hope that each patient has a nurse advocate he/she can trust.
