May 2026 Honoree
Graysen Kaess, RN
Graysen is my class clinical instructor and has had such a positive impact on my clinical experience this semester. Graysen always shows up with such a positive attitude and is nothing but encouraging to my fellow students and me. She is constantly finding new opportunities for us - such as attending the Saint Luke's Skills Fair, bringing in organ donor faculty to teach us in depth about the organ donation process, and taking the time to teach us all about EKG rhythms/interpretations. She goes above and beyond in her kindness and encouragement. I feel extremely comfortable going to her and asking questions - I never fear that she would pass judgment or make me feel silly for any sort of question or concern. She makes it evidently clear that we can always go to her if we are having any issues during clinical, and she will help sort it out. Not only that, but she teaches with such passion and care - you can tell that the nursing profession is something that she is so passionate about, and she has the biggest heart when talking about patient-centered care. There is no doubt in my mind that she is an amazing nurse and is 100% meant for this career, as well as an amazing and encouraging instructor to students who are just setting foot in this career path.
Thank you, Graysen, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
