When I was admitted from the ED with severe anemia, Greg Valentine read me like a book. He matched my nervous banter while efficiently getting my vital signs and recording my history. He had such compassion. He grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze and looked at me with so much love and I swear I heard him saying, "Welcome home, I got your back!"
Three nights I was surrounded loved by Greg's love while he cared for me. One morning I overslept and was devastated that I hadn't had a chance to say goodbye to Greg. But he came back and gave me a proper send-off; a hug! I have never not wanted to leave the hospital before.
