Gregory Harris, BSN, RN

Gregory walked by my father's room during dinner as our family was feeding Dad. He noticed my father in distress and our family having difficulty transferring my dad from bed to chair. Within minutes, Gregory showed strong critical thinking with dad's oxygen assessment, lung auscultation, and pertinent history as my father showed increasing respiratory distress. He applied his care in a confident and compassionate manner. He also made sure my brother was not hurt during transferring Dad back to the bed. Gregory immediately placed the hover mat for safe positioning. He informed the primary nurse, the RT, and the RRT nurse. Gregory was just passing by; Dad was not his patient. He stopped and cared as if it was and that is why he is an extraordinary nurse.
