I met Gretchen at my doctor's office. She had been my nurse before, but briefly. This time, she took my stats, and then we just started talking. She picked up that something was wrong. I had lost my son in 2021. The anniversary had just passed, and I was quite depressed. So, at that point, the tears just started rolling. She was just so kind and comforting, and she settled me down. She was very, very, kind and offered me a glass of water and a tissue... from that point on, I look for her to be my nurse when I do go to the office. When I was there a few weeks ago, she was my nurse, and again, she's just so comforting to me, and it's almost like she treats me with kid gloves. But to me, I love that, and she shared with me a few personal details about her life that we have in common, which comforted me even more. It made me feel even closer to her. For some reason, I was meant to meet her. God put her in my life for a reason. I truly feel this way. I thank her for her kindness, caring, and going the extra mile, literally! I know this Is why she is a nurse. (And she told me she has always had a need to help people.) It shows! Lol, I don't know if I was suppose to say that!!! She truly deserves recognition.
