Gretchen is such a hardworking, dedicated, kind, helpful nurse! Since I was here for 2 weeks, I had the pleasure of having Gretchen as my nurse quite frequently. No matter how busy her day was or how tired she was from picking up shifts she always had a smile on her face. Her smile was very contagious! She also always has something funny to say which makes me laugh and in turn brightens my day. Being in the hospital is physically and mentally challenging but Gretchen makes it significantly easier. Every time I know Gretchen is working the following shift, I request that I have her! When I get my GI issues under control, I want to go to nursing school. I hope that when I become a nurse, I can touch my patients' lives as Gretchen did for me. Gretchen, thank you so much for all that you did to help make this hospital stay easier. You are one incredible person and nurse. Don’t ever change because you are truly one of a kind. Thank you for all you do. RIH is blessed to have you. I’m happy that I’m leaving the hospital, but man am I going to miss your smiling face! Keep being amazing!
