Gurpreet was nominated for advocating for a patient in need of a doctor's consultation and for going above and beyond to help the patient feel comfortable.
The patient was waiting for a consultation with a doctor to discuss her medical issues and pending surgical procedures but began to worry as she waited to be seen.
Gurpreet immediately told the patient that she would find out what was going on and began to call other departments to get answers for the patient.
"She called a lot of people for me," the patient wrote in a nomination letter. "She never gave up, and eventually, the doctor came and answered all of my questions!"
Even after the patient's problem was resolved, Gurpreet remained with the patient and made sure she was smiling before moving onto the next room.
