Post-op, I was sent to ICU for 2 days. Being in a lot of pain and having complex surgery, I was not looking forward to more days in the hospital. After getting set up in the room, I met my ICU nurse Gwen. She immediately made sure I was comfortable and listened to me. I have some medical conditions that require special care and she listened as I explained what I needed to take care of them. Her level of care went beyond just the clinical part. She wanted to make sure I had what I wanted to eat, always checked to be sure I as comfortable, and was not in pain. Gwen is so wonderful and made my stay so much easier.
