I had good nurses, but Gwen especially stood out because she saw that I was quiet and knew she needed to take the time to understand my needs and medical issues to best care for me because I am not a complainer. I had issues with my IV and she made sure everyone cared for it appropriately. She was personable and made sure I was taken care of but also took care of my mother. She was able to ensure that my mother got something to eat and provided blankets and pillows for her to sleep. Gwen's support and compassion are what made her special to me.
