​My wife came into the hospital and was brought to the ICU. From there, we met Hagi Ruiz-Lopez and were blown away by her amazing bedside manner and how caring, nice, and gentle she was with my wife... I was with my mom for seven months in the hospital before she died, and Hagi is the best nurse I have ever encountered. I truly believe she deserves Nurse of the Year.​
