The patient wanted to recognize Hailey Anderson for going above and beyond. The patient went on to explain he had surgery and had to remove his cross. He gave his cross to the OR staff. The following day, Hailey came on for her shift and greeted the patient. The patient asked if she knew where his cross was. She said she would find out and not leave until that cross was found. Hailey ended up staying past her end time to investigate where this cross was. According to the patient, this cross was his late wife's cross and had significant value. The cross was found, and the patient wanted to tell me what a wonderful person Hailey was and that she was a tribute to her younger generation and our hospital.
