My special needs daughter was admitted, and right from the beginning, Hailey made a special bond with her. She was very thorough in communicating to us what was going on. Because sometimes as a parent of the patient, you are not sure of what is happening. One time my daughter was scheduled for an MRI and they tried to delay it until the next day, I assume because they were so busy. We needed it done because my daughter was in pain. Hailey said: "I am going to make sure that happens today," - and she did!
My daughter also had to miss seeing her favorite celebrity, Derek Hough, when he was performing in town because she was in the hospital. Hailey attended the concert, and when she came back the next day, somehow Hailey had gotten word to Derek that my daughter couldn't make it. Hailey came back not only with a signed picture from him, but also a personal video message from Derek saying he was sorry that my daughter couldn't make it and she would have front row seats and backstage passes the next time! I can't tell you how much that meant to my daughter. She has been talking about that and sharing that video and picture with everyone who will listen! Hailey went above and beyond in every way. She was much appreciated!
