Hailey Runyon, RN

My mother was hospitalized at MCMH. Hailey was her main nurse. My mother is 92 years old but wanted me to share that Hailey was very kind. My mother was scared-she had been seen in the ER and admitted. None of us expected that. She was COVID-positive. She was alone and isolated and scared. Hailey helped her stay calm and arranged for Mom to find a way to communicate with her family. When Hailey realized her hearing aid batteries were dead-she took the extra steps necessary to have family drop a new one off along with a bag of personal items. She knew how to change the batteries!!!!!

On my end, Hailey talked to me several times as I was scared and very frustrated. She kept me completely informed. It was clear to me that she was engaged with my mother. She went out of her way to hang a piece of paper in the window so I could find my mom’s room from the parking lot and she researched the current visitation guidelines and found a way to visit my mom. Seniors should never be scared and Hailey knew that.
