March 2025 Honoree
Hailey Waltman, LPN
This was a difficult choice for me during my over 14 days here. There are so many amazing nurses on the floor, but the very first day I was brought to the ARC, Hailey Waltman was my nurse. I was so anxious and scared, but she immediately calmed me; she was very comforting and calming. At first, I thought this girl was young and wouldn't know what to do, but I have to say, never judge a book by its cover. She exceeded my expectations - she was gentle, understanding, and thorough and assisted with my needs. I had a few other nurses, of course, being here for so long, but in my last few days here, I had Hailey again, and she came in with a smile.
***
Hailey has been treating my father. She takes wonderful medical care of him and is concerned with his emotional well-being. She often stops in just to talk to him. Especially on days when there are no visitors. Additionally, every time I am here visiting, she makes a point to stop by to see if I have any questions regarding my father or if I need anything. A positive attitude and professional medical skills are a plus for SLUHN. She makes my dad smile when she comes into his room. She goes above and beyond in her care for my dad.

Thank you, Hailey, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
