Haley Coote, RN

Haley was present for the end-of-life care of one of our patients. This was a rather sudden decline in a patient that necessitated a late-night call to get the family to come in to say goodbye. These are never easy events in our world as we try to meet the needs of a dying patient and a grieving family. Haley handled this end-of-life event with grace and compassion for both the patient and his family. Her ability to provide her dying patient with comfort, and take care of a grieving family, while at the same time taking care of the rest of the patients assigned to her was a selfless act. The patient's son nominated Haley based on her selfless and compassionate care provided.
