November 2025 Honoree
Haley Dyer, BSN, RN
My wife and I were admitted to the Pediatric Unit as new parents to our 7-day-old daughter, who had a severe rash. Haley was our overnight nurse, and she constantly checked in on us, supported us, and made us feel cared for during an incredibly stressful time.
Haley treated our daughter like one of her own family members and was a strong advocate for all of us. While were were getting some much-needed rest, she would quietly come in to change our daughter’s diaper and take her vitals, being careful not to wake us up. Every time our daughter’s rash showed improvement, Haley seemed just as excited as we were.
Haley went above and beyond to make us new parents feel comforted and supported. Her kindness and empathy truly stood out, and she made a significant impact on us during her shift. Being in the hospital with a newborn is stressful enough, but Haley brought a level of comfort that we didn’t think was possible.
