As I sit in the hospital with my grandchild, I wonder how I have made it this far. This is such a frightening situation for a young and innocent two-year-old. This is unchartered territory and I do not know how to navigate it. Our nurse, Haley Langley, is the reason we made it. Her compassion, dedication, and genuine concern toward me and my family helped us through such a trying time. She has been our rock, our shoulder to cry on, and did not pass judgement. She knew our needs so quickly. She brought a fan when we were hot. She brought snacks when we were hungry. She went above and beyond in our every need. She listened. She treated me with value as a person and not just another family here with a sick child. When I saw her on shift I felt so comfortable. She was our guardian angel when we needed it most. I know that others before me and those after will experience her gentle soul. Your hospital is fortunate to have an employee such as this. Thank you.
