Haley was gentle, kind, and thorough in her care and in her communication with me.
Haley Nestor was one of the first people I saw after waking up from anesthesia. I had an unexpected emergency surgery and had been in the hospital for about 48 hours before the surgery. I was overwhelmed with information and had never had a surgery of this nature before and was not sure what to expect when I came to. I was shaking badly, crying, and had a hard time keeping my eyes open. Haley was gentle, kind, and thorough in her care and in her communication with me. No matter how often I asked questions about what was happening, she calmly explained each time without hesitation. I was in a great deal of pain, and before administering any medications or care during my stay, Haley would clearly explain what she was doing before doing it. She treated me with respect and helped me to walk around and use the bathroom safely. During my time in the PACU, my husband was also with me. He is a bit squeamish when it comes to blood or bodily fluids. There was a moment when he felt he was going to pass out (and did), and Haley did not hesitate to help him through it. She was able to maintain lightheartedness and positivity while interacting with both of us. During my short time at the hospital, Haley was hands down the best nurse and caregiver I met and experienced.
