I was a very non-compliant patient, but Haley stayed true to who she is, not only as a nurse but as a human being. She gave me her caring look and continued to treat me with dignity, care, and respect. She spoke to me with realism and honesty that most don't give. Haley's love and compassion for being a nurse showed in her actions. No matter my mood, I got her smile. To love something, in this case, her career, as Haley does is something I strive for. Most good nurses don't look for recognition and are blinded by the effect in which they bestow on a patient.

Haley, I was scared and lost. You grabbed my hand and looked at me and said, "I got you."  Thank you. Don't change. I will miss that smile. Patrick Barnes would be proud of this nurse!
