My wife came into the ER following a significant auto accident. After she was stabilized she was moved to Haley's floor. Being in an accident is a tragic and traumatic experience. Not knowing why it happened makes it that much worse. You realize that it takes time to get answers but that doesn't relieve the anxiety. Having a nurse like Haley who constantly and consistently provided reassurance and empathy helps to take the edge off when one needs it most. You know she's always smiling even though you can't see it through her mask. She takes time to make what she does personal and that is what helps most in the healing process. Piedmont is lucky to have a nurse like Haley. Nursing is a tough and often unappreciated job-she makes you glad they are here to help!

Haley exceeds as a team player and sensitive caregiver! At the beginning of COVID, Haley lost a close friend who was also a nurse and only 26 years old to COVID. She, along with two other staff members, were some of the first to volunteer for shifts on the COVID unit as the numbers increased. She has had a challenging year with a lot of loss in her friend and family circle but has never called out. She picks up extra to help us and has the best attitude. She is truly a light to other staff members and patients alike.
