I would like to commend Haley Vyhonsky for her exceptional nursing care, leadership, and dedication to both patients and her colleagues.

During a recent trauma case, a patient experienced a cardiac arrest and required immediate resuscitation efforts. Throughout this high-stress event, Haley remained calm, focused, and highly skilled. She jumped in without hesitation, providing critical support to the primary nurse and the entire team. Her clinical knowledge, quick thinking, and ability to teach while actively participating in patient care were invaluable. Haley not only assisted with life-saving interventions but also helped guide and support the primary nurse throughout the code. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the team, the patient achieved return of spontaneous circulation, and Haley played a significant role in that outcome.

What makes Haley truly exceptional is that this level of dedication is not limited to one event. She is consistently the first person to offer help whenever a patient, coworker, or department is in need. Her willingness to step in, share her knowledge, and support others exemplifies the spirit of nursing. She is known throughout the department for her outstanding clinical skills, including delivering high-quality CPR compressions, and for being a trusted resource during critical situations.

Beyond her technical expertise, Haley creates a supportive environment where nurses feel comfortable asking questions and learning. She continuously mentors and encourages others, helping to strengthen the entire team. Her intelligence, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to excellence make her one of the department’s greatest assets.

Haley embodies the qualities celebrated by the DAISY Award. She makes a difference in the lives of patients, families, and colleagues every day.

Thank you, Haley, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
