September 2020 Honoree
halina barnett, RN
I came to Sky Lakes for a major surgery. At this time COVID-19 restrictions were in place and I could have no visitors. This was stressful!
Halina came in my room after a shift change and though she had other patients to also care for she made (sure) I had everything I needed, but mostly with her, I felt more at ease and not alone. I was very lonely, that was until Halina. I feel her compassion and care perked me up. Halina was able to get me to eat, potty, walk, smile and finally I felt comfortable. I truly appreciate her for all of this. In my book, she is more than extraordinary. The world needs more people like Halina.

Thank you, Halina, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
