Hallie is a true patient advocate. Not once but twice we have had patients come in during the COVID "no visitors" time for Heart Caths and the findings required the patient to be transferred to for further assessment and possible CABG surgery. Knowing this was stressful news to hear over the phone and even more stressful to consider the road ahead with possible surgery and recovery, Hallie contacted the patient's spouse to arrange a quick visit while the patient was being loaded into the ambulance to go farther away for an unspecified time and unknown outcome. The spouse was able to bring a bag with overnight needs and see her husband for a short time before he had to be put in the ambulance. The patient and spouse were both very grateful for the opportunity to see each other and share a kiss in that brief moment. It showed Hallie was thinking outside the box to meet her patient's needs!
