Han Hee Bae is the personification of the values we hold here at Broward Health. During this past year Han Hee has precepted four nurses and she takes her role as preceptor very seriously. She watches over them and makes sure every task and document is done properly. Her dedication to duty and her keen clinical insight has kept many patients from further clinical decline.
One night, a patient from the ED was transferred to the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) and shortly after arrival Han Hee was concerned about the patient's appearance, despite no complain from the patient. Han Hee checked his BS and found it to be very low, treated him, which prevented the patient from having a more serious outcome.
Han Hee is always thinking out of the box to ensure staffing is adequate and makes changes to her personal schedule if it is not. Han Hee serves on the Hospital's Clinical Safety Committee and is recognized as a subject matter expert for BHU throughout the hospital but most importantly Han Hee is known by those she meets as someone who gives totally of herself all the time to make things better.
