Hanna was a breath of fresh air during my husband's hospital stay. We were fortunate to have her 3 days in a row, and she got to know my husband when he declined neurologically and they were saying that was his baseline-she advocated for him and spoke up to say no, this is not his baseline. A shout out to the doctor, who also spent time getting to know him and listening to all of my concerns and questions. My husband has become a very complex case since diagnosis in January with chemo complications, a Whipple in May with complications, a second round of chemo with more complications. It's been a lot to review and to understand. It's been very much a roller coaster ride. Being an RN myself (no recent bedside nursing), it is frustrating to be on this side and have doctors and nurses dismiss you. It is refreshing and encouraging to have a nurse like Hanna.
