One of our patients arrived at MICU after her first Zephyr procedure, and Hannah Adams took care of her overnight. On the first morning, she had nothing but amazing things to say about the care she received from Hannah overnight. She praised her smile, comforting presence, and the joy she filled the room with. She could not stop talking about Hannah's care and compassion all day. She was readmitted to the unit for a repeat procedure a short time later. I received her post-procedure, and her first words were "Where is Hannah? Is Hannah here?". I reassured her that Hannah was working that evening, and we would let her know she was here even if Hannah didn't have this assignment. Unfortunately, she returned to the unit after another procedure and again upon waking, asked for Hannah. She describes Hannah as her angel. She glows when Hannah is in the room and can't speak enough about Hannah's compassion and care. "Hannah makes me feel so comforted and calm. She anticipates my needs and is attentive to my requests. I know when she is here, I am at ease and my husband rests easy knowing I will want for nothing".

As a fellow nurse, Hannah is incredibly deserving of recognition. She is incredibly smart, and her compassion is unrivaled. As a teammate, she is always willing to go above and beyond for any nurse or patient and always has a smile on her face. MICU is so very lucky to have her on our team, and Hannah exudes positivity and hope when days are tough.

Hannah was the sweetest nurse. She went way out of her way to make her patients comfortable. I’ve never felt so comfortable in a hospital before I had Hannah as my nurse. She’s one special young lady who works hard to make sure I have everything I need, and I’m sure she did the same with all her patients. Every nurse needs to be recognized, but Hannah is special. She made my stay comfortable with no worries; she was up on everything. She answered all the questions I asked and found the answers for me. The nurses today work so hard, and you never see them get recognized for their hard work. She definitely deserves every bit of recognition. Hannah will always have a special place in my heart. You’re the best of the best. Your friendliness, caring heart, smile, and everything about you is perfect. Hannah was the best nurse I ever had in any hospital. Her compassion, her personality, and her big smile, she has no matter what she has to do. She was a very caring, loving nurse. She takes care of her patients like they were family. Her parents raised her right, that’s for sure. She is the best of the best. She always makes you feel good, no matter how you feel, she always has a way to make you feel better.
